what follows are all the words from the Gospel of Satan. they are presented in alphabetical order within the set of their value. after each word is the number of their instance within the gospel, their frequency, followed by their (parenthetical value) summed using the conventional and plebeian numerological system (i.e. 'a'=1, 'b'=2, 'c'=3, ... 'x'=24, 'y'=25, 'z'=26), concluding with additional [notes in square brackets].

below and preliminary to that are notes on the number of terms, inclusive of characters, words, words beginning with certain letters, and the whole phenomenon of numberology of a scripture.

NOTES

this is the commencement of a linguistic statistical analysis of the Gospel of Satan for purpose of identifying unusual natural perturbation or bias, especially as expressed or emphasized within the confines of a specific religious scripture composed in that language.

the greater concentration should be discernable based on first-letter frequency and averages of sums. compare the convention with the Gospel of Satan:

significant variation present for letters s, h, p, l, and v (enhanced) and w, f, and y (dampened).

removing the Top 20 most used words in written English: the, of, to, in, and, a, for, was, is, that, on, at, he, with, by, be, it, an, as, and his (as indicated by http://deafandblind.com/word_frequency.htm#first-letter-in-words-letter-frequency -- accessed 7/17/08), in order of greater to lesser frequency, the repeated terms in the gospel are as follows: god, our, Council, Father, high, him, power, from, Gate, great, have, host, I, most, were, you, your. this indicates a focus on deities, possessives, aggregates, masculinity, superlatives, potency, personae, otherness, and boundaries.

naturally the longer words are toward the end with greater sums, the briefer words toward the beginning with small sums, and this also plays into the alphabetic position. the earlier in the alphabet the more likely to be in the smaller sums, the later, the larger.

vowel-ranges seem to play on the value significantly, the initial vowels driving the sum down, later vowel values driving it up significantly.

the value-key would play dimensionally with the width of the spread of the word-values. 1-26 narrows while 1-9, 10-90, 100-800 would expand it immensely. this expansion would only increase to the right (here, downward), in later letters and words that contain them.

it becomes obvious that certain consonants are 'vowel-friendly' and nearer to the beginning of the alphabet (e.g. the letter 'h' and its relation to 'a' and 'e').

certain consonants are more popular or more widely used in my lexicon (at least within this work) than others. words beginning with 'a' and 's' being heavily populated.

there should be statistical data allowing an evaluation of variance from average: average number of letters in a word, average value for letters and therefore for words, etc.

there seems to be a family of words drawn toward lesser value, and these cluster around the initial letters (consonants and vowels, 'ace', 'ade', etc.) and an average for each length of word (1/13, 2/26, 3/39, 4/52...).

I found the result: 33=Gate=hall=magic=making.

this is incorrect (making=55). I discovered a flaw in this engine: if one does not properly click the 'Calculate' button with the computer's mouse, the result may seem to be the same value as the last term. I'll have to do spot-checks of values for sequential alphabetic words with the same value.
